Bad fourth quarter seals Tigerette fate

Bad fourth quarter seals Tigerette fate

ARCHER CITY – There’s cold … and then there’s Jacksboro’s girls’ shooting in the fourth quarter here Nov. 16.

The Tigerettes, down 36-32 heading into the final eight minutes of the Lady ‘Cats season opener, missed 21 of their 22 shots in the fourth, sans a three-pointer by freshman Avery Bennett with 4:57 to go. The offensive drought made the Lady ‘Cats’ 55-35 win much more a rout than it really was.

Jacksboro, which lost its second straight contest, falls to 2-2.

With games and meetings being cancelled due to pandemic over the last week, and a looming early deadline for Thanksgiving, I was beginning to wonder what you folks were going to read in today’s paper.
