Selma Rae Wright

Selma Rae Wright was born July 12, 1956 in Bangs, Texas. She was the daughter of Leonard and Charlotte (Marshall) Winters. She and the Late Raymond Wright were married April 2, 2004 in Maryland. Selma was retired nurse. She passed away Saturday, March 26, in Jacksboro, at the age of 65 years old.

Selma is preceded in death by her parents; and late husband, Raymond.

She is survived today by her son, Shea Clemons and wife Amber; stepchildren, Chris Wright, Cathy Spect and Mark Wright; grandchildren, Ami, Ariana and Patience; along with her beloved dog, Abby.

Wynell Nunley Springer

Wynell Nunley Springer, 82, of Haltom City, passed away Monday, April 4, at home.

A memorial service is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 21 at Bethesda Community Church, 4700 N. Beach in Fort Worth, with Bishop Matthew Prince officiating.

Springer was born July 18, 1939 in Mt. Vernon, to Jesse and Pearl Nunley. She married Clyde Springer on Feb. 26, 1966 in Fort Worth. Wynell was a real estate broker and then worked for the family business Clyde Springer Concrete Co.

Ellen Aretha Lewis

Ellen Aretha Lewis, age 85, went to be with Jesus on Friday, April 15, surrounded by her family. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 21 at First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls in the east sanctuary.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 20 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.

She was born Aug. 5, 1936, to Eric Lawson Ellis and Ellen Lois Speed Ellis in Corsicana. She met the love of her life, Donald Glenn Lewis at a Sunday School party. They married on Dec. 3, 1954.

Delmar Ray Day

Delmar Ray Day passed away Sunday, April 17, in Jacksboro. He was 82 years old. He was born Dec. 7, 1939 in Parker County, Texas.

A visitation will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro, with a memorial service at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 22. Graveside services will immediately follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Jacksboro.

Joe Ray Wolfe

Joe Ray Wolfe, 73, passed away Saturday, March 12, at Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg.

He was born March 7, 1949 in Gorman to the late Curtis Ray Wolfe and Vestal Audine Stroud Searcy. He graduated from Jacksboro High School in 1967 and went on to attend Southwest Texas State for a short time prior to joining the U.S. Navy. During his eight years in the Navy, he spent 18 months in foreign and/or sea service aboard the USS Sampson (DDG-10). He trained and worked as an electronics technician (radar).

Sydney Allen Davies

Sydney Allen Davies passed away Monday, Feb. 21, at his home in Jacksboro. He was 79 years old. He was born Sept. 9 ,1942 in Syracuse, N.Y., to Richard Allen Davies and Frances V. (Zitne) Davies.

A visitation was held from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, at Coker Funeral Home. A funeral service followed the visitation starting at 2 p.m. Burial was held at Graceland Cemetery in Jermyn.

David Kevin Ricks

David Kevin Ricks passed away Monday, Feb. 21, at his home in Jacksboro. He was 63 years old. David was born April 23, 1958, in Pampa, Texas to Bill Murray Ricks and Sharon (Hill).

A “Come and Go” celebration of life for David was held at the Halliburton Building in Jacksboro from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26.

Michael Dale Petty

Michael Dale Petty passed away Thursday, Feb. 24, in Fort Worth, at the age of 60 years old. He was born June 10, 1961, in Hobbs, New Mexico to Roy Petty and Margie (Myers).

A visitation was held 6-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, at Coker Funeral Home. A celebration of life service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, at Christian Missions in Jacksboro.

Michael is preceded in death by his brother, Alan Petty, who passed away in September 2011.

Robert Lee Martin

Robert Lee Martin was born and raised in the Barton Chapel community, where he spent most of his life. He comes from a long line of Texas cattle ranchers, and along with caring for his own herd, he spent many years traveling to sale barns order buying for Clifton Cattle Company. As a lifetime member of the National Cutting Horse Association, he had a true passion for raising cutting horses along with ranch horses of all types. And, as a one-time pilot,

Glen Wayne Burleson

Glen Wayne Burleson, age 65, passed away in Fort Worth the morning of February 9, 2022. The family will received from noon to 2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home Chapel in Graham.

Glen was born in Graham on November 20, 1956 to the late Glen Ray Burleson and Gayle (Ross) Burleson.

Glen is survived by his children, Marci Harrell and husband Jarod of Graham, and Chris Burleson and wife Andrea of Graham; grandchildren, Gabe, Jayden, Danielle, Zoey, and Hayden; and siblings, Stephanie Browning, Sheila Ogle, Theresa Burleson, and Mike Burleson.
