Jacksboro 8th grade football loses at home

A good first half became a blowout for visiting Breckenridge, the Broncos scoring on their first three drives of the third quarter to post a 38-12 victory over Jacksboro’s 8th grade football team. Tiger quarterback Levi Gavitt combined with Christian Wampler for passes of 12 and 17-yards, the latter a touchdown toss to give the Tigers a 12-8 lead with four minutes left in the first half.

Perrin cross country competes at Brock

The Perrin-Whitt CISD cross country teams competed Wednesday, Sept. 27 at the Brock Invitational. The boys team finished the meet in 5th place overall, with the girls team finishing 7th.
The teams will compete again next Wednesday, Oct. 4 at the Midway Cross Country meet.

Pee Wee FB loses, 28-20

When Jacksboro and Windthorst’s Pee Wee football teams met Saturday, the squads had combined for 14 total points in their first two games. The offensive output for both squads went up significantly at Tiger Stadium, a pair of Dossen Anderson second half touchdowns breaking things open for the Trojans who went on to post a 28-20 victory.
