Dr. Ross O'Neal Roberts

Dr. Ross O’Neal Roberts, 86, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017. 

Ross was born August 20, 1930 in Bryson, Texas to Nora Slater Roberts and Jesse Milton Roberts. He married Rita Colleen Holmes on his birthday in 1955. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Pete Milton Roberts.

K.D. "Tex" Nabers

K.D. “Tex” Nabers passed away January 13, 2017 in Arizona at the age of 86.

K.D. was born in Hall County, Texas to Kenneth and Emma Lee Davis Nabers. He was the oldest of five sisters and one brother. He graduated from Lakeview High School 

After going to Arizona, he got into the real estate business and was given the name of Tex.

He loved to talk to his family on Skype.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Katrina Hancock and grandson Shannon Nabers, brother-in-law Butch Adcock.

Wayne McDonald

Wayne McDonald of Big Sandy, Texas passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017, in Longview, Texas. He was 53. 

He was born November 4, 1963, in Jacksboro, to Leroy Earl McDonald and Tommie Dean Swan McDonald.  He married Gina Justice on September 22, 1990 in Denton, Texas and was the parts manager for All Star Ford in Kilgore.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy McDonald.

Martha Moore Trescott

Martha Moore Trescott, 75, died in Urbana, Illinois November 15, 2016. 

From Dallas, Texas, Martha attended Highland Park High School, and went on to study chemistry and theology at Southern Methodist University. She worked in scientific research and was on the staff of several universities including the Michigan Institute of Technology. 

She was widely published, and lectured on the role of women in science and engineering, and strived for social justice. She will be greatly missed.

Richard Allen Easter

Richard Allen Easter passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the age of 74 years old.

He was born February 3, 1942 to Clifford Thurman and Betty Lorene Skipper Easter in Graham, Texas. 

He married Audra B. Evans in Jack County, Texas August 3, 1958. Richard worked at Fort Richardson State Park for many years, serving in many capacities and was member of Jermyn Baptist Church.

Richard was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Perry Easter and Jerry Easter.

Tayler Cheyenne Reeves-Wimberly

Tayler Cheyenne Reeves-Wimberly, of Plano, died January 29, 2017. She was 19 years old.

Tayler was born January 15, 1998 in Wichita Falls to Edward J. “EJ” Wimberly and Jodie Reeves. She grew up in Perrin.

She graduated with honors from High Frontier Academy in Fort Davis, Texas. From there, she went on to embrace the adversity of her life with the same open arms that she brought into her recovery. 

At the age of 18, she celebrated two years of sobriety and brought light into the lives of the many people she helped through service work. 

Billy Don Damron

Billy Don Damron passed away at his home Tuesday January 17, 2017. He was 49 years old.

He was born on May 8, 1967 to Larry Smith and Lounetta Sue (Preston) Damron.

Billy married Tanya Sue Fojtik December 22, 1989 in Jacksboro, Texas. He was a oilfield tool pusher for T.I.F. Well Service and a member of Christian Missions Church. Billy was a hard working family man. He was an amazing husband, father, brother, and friend that will be dearly missed.
