Watt Delford Tucker

Watt Delford Tucker, 79, of Perrin, Texas, passed away Sunday June 25, 2017 in Fort Worth, Texas.

He was born April 6, 1938 in Mineral Wells, Texas.

Watt was a lifelong resident of Perrin; his passions included racing, mechanic work, farming and his family. He also served on the Perrin school board for several years. He knew the importance of education and always encouraged his children and grandchildren to get an education. He was so proud of his grandchildren; he beamed when he talked about them and to them.

Laura Beth Campsey

Laura Beth Campsey, of Jacksboro, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was 86 years old. She was born on August 3, 1930 to Claude Sylvester and Essie Opal (Christian) Gregg in Jacksboro.

Laura Beth married Guinn Ware Campsey on February 11, 1949 in Jacksboro. They made their home here and were very active in the community. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and owner of The Gallery for years. Laura Beth, most of all, was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed.

Carlos Edward Riviers

Carlos Edward Riviers, 57, of Clovis, New Mexico, formerly of Jacksboro, Texas, went to be with the Lord Friday, June 9, 2017 in Lubbock, Texas after a long battle with leukemia.

Carlos was born April 13, 1960 in Clovis, New Mexico to Thomas Riviers and Gloria Lucero Riviers. He worked as a crew supervisor for Hydro Resources.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alex Riviers, Gretchen Riviers, Edward Lucero, Anita Dominquez and father, Thomas Riviers.

Zachary Ray Warren

Zachary Ray Warren passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 in Jacksboro, Texas. He was 16 years old. 

was born August 27, 2000 to Charles Ellis and Stephanie Renee (Collom) Warren, Jr. in Mineral Wells, Texas. 

Zachary, or Bubba as he was fondly called, was a senior at Jacksboro High School and worked as a lifeguard at Unks Lake during the summer. Bubba loved his family and his friends with all his heart. He has left a hole that cannot be filled in their hearts; he will be dearly missed.

Lillian Opehlia Rumage Henderson

Lillian Ophelia Rumage Henderson, 90, passed away at her home Sunday, May 28, 2017 in Jacksboro, Texas. 

She was born January 13, 1927 to Claude and Lillian Thomas Rumage. She was the only girl and the fifth of six children. She idolized her brothers. 

She graduated from Jacksboro High School in 1944 and attended Durham’s Business College in Fort Worth. She married Ellis Henderson February 9, 1947. He preceded her in death January 14, 1981. She was a life long member of the First Baptist Church of Jacksboro. 

Donald Ray “Blackie” Starnes

Donald Ray “Blackie” Starnes, 87, died Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at his home in Valliant, Oklahoma.

Blackie was born January 21, 1930 in Jermyn, Texas the son of Doyle Ray Starnes and Leona Mae (Manley) Starnes. He was raised in Bryson, Texas and raised his family in Monahans, Texas to pursue the oil field from 1954 to 1991. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and had lived in the Valliant area for over 25 years. He married Marvene Baird on July 6, 1954.
