Mary Jewell Velo

Memorial services for Mary Jewell Velo will be held Thursday, Aug. 6 at 10 am, at Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Home in Lawton, Okla. Burial will follow at the Ft. Sill Post Cemetery.

Mary was born Oct. 21, 1930 in Jacksboro to Jess and Mary Montgomery Herd. She graduated from Jacksboro High School in 1948. She was active in the elementary school band, high school FHA, and Pep Squad. She was also a Girl Scout.

Kimberly Kay Gibby

1959-2020

Kimberly Kay Gibby, 60, of Jacksboro, passed away on July 16 in Tioga, Texas.

She was born on Dec. 3, 1959 to Wesley Dean Lunceford and Elsie Pearl (Fisher) Lunceford in Brawley, Calif. Kimberly was a member of Jacksboro Christian Missions and Jacksboro Animal Shelter. She loved animals and cooking.

Kimberly was Editor of Jacksboro Newspaper and worked in the newspaper industry for over 40 years. Kimberly was also the Jack County Treasurer for 8 years.

Velma Lee Ogle Clayton

1932-2020

Velma Lee Ogle Clayton went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 23, in Graham.

A Viewing was held on Sunday, July 26 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Coker Funeral Home, Jacksboro. A Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, July 27 at Coker Funeral Home with burial following at Truce Cemetery.

Trevia Louise Smith

Trevia Louise Smith, 87, passed away peacefully July 6, 2020 due to natural causes. She was born April 29, 1933 in Jacksboro to Carl and Ina Ramzy. She married her soulmate Bob J. Smith on May 29, 1971 who preceded her death on August 28, 2015. Trevia and Bob moved to Cushing, Okla. where they resided until Trevia relocated to Owasso, Okla.

Anne Carpenter Dutton

Anne Carpenter Dutton,83, passed away June 8, 2020. She was born July 23, 1936 to Pearla and Syrell Carpenter and raised in Plano. She married the love of her life, Lendon Dutton, in 1959. Anne taught English until she and Lendon started their family, and then she devoted herself to being a mother to her three children. Anne and Lendon moved to Jacksboro in 1973 and resided there until the time of her death. She was also an adoring and adored Mimi to four grandchildren.
