Sallie Sue Sikes Scheer

Sallie Sue Sikes Scheer was born January 13, 1944 in Houston, Texas to Samuel Tillotson Sikes, Jr. and Amelia Christine (Edgecombe) Sikes. She passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019, at the age of 75 years. Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the First United Methodist Church in Henrietta at 301 S. Bridge St. in Henrietta, Texas with Chris Scheer and Deborah Clark officiating.

 

Regis Raymond Alder, Jr.

Regis Raymond Alder, Jr. passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019. He was born the son of Regis and Agnes Harriet Keyho Alder, Sr. on November 12, 1965, in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.

Reggie was a mechanic and was a firefighter/EMT for Santo Fire Department for 17 years. He was an avid BBQ cook going to cookoffs and previously owned Chubby’s BBQ. Regis will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Gerald Moore

Gerald Moore, 88, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2018 in Seymour.
Gerald was born November 4, 1930 in Weatherford to B.L. “Buck” and Jewell Combs Moore. He married Katherine Annette Little in Jacksboro on August 16, 1958. They enjoyed a loving union for 50 years and had two sons, John and Bryan.
Gerald graduated from Jacksboro High School in 1948 and studied at the University of Texas in Arlington.

Nesha Lynn Hadley

Nesha Lynn Hadley, 64, of Post Oak, Texas passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019. She was born on January 16, 1955 in Wichita Falls, Texas. 

Nesha’s faith and family meant everything to her. Nesha always shared her love for Jesus and quoted scripture anytime someone could benefit from it. 

William Beeler Owen

William Beeler Owen, 90, moved to his heavenly home on Thursday, July 18, 2019 in Jacksboro, Texas.

He was the sixth son born to Robert Owen and Lucy Eva Oliver Owen in Barton Chapel on September 17, 1928.

W.B. graduated from Jacksboro High School; Tarleton; Texas A&M University and received a Master’s Degree from Abilene Christian.

He taught vocational agriculture for 33 years. He taught in Oklaunion, Throckmorton, Breckenridge and Jacksboro. He received many awards as a teacher. He received an Honorary American Farmer Degree, a national honor.

Shirley Diane Bryan

Shirley Diane Bryan, 64, of Poolville, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019 at home.

Shirley was born May 14, 1955 to Peggy M. and Charles R. Easley Sr. Fort Worth, Texas. 

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her brother, Charles R. Easley Jr. and wife Tommie of Baird, Texas; sister Sheila Burnett and husband Terry of Springtown, Texas and sister Sherri Thomas of Azle, Texas.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

Linda Pippin Self

Linda Pippin Self died May 24, 2019 in Jacksboro. She was 75 years old.

Linda was born June 23, 1943, in Jacksboro, Texas. She was the daughter of John Edgar and Alma Marie (Forbus) Pippin. She and the Late Charles Dalton Self were married December 9, 1961 in Jermyn, Texas. She attended Jermyn Baptist Church and a was a homemaker. 

Linda was considered a jack-of-all-trades as she loved crafts, cooking, gardening and doll making.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alma Marie Pippin and husband, Charles Self.

Shirley Ann Welch

Shirley Ann Welch, 83 of Goldthwaite and formerly of Sonora, Texas passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in Goldthwaite. 

She was born May 12, 1936 in Meridian, Texas to the late Fred and Ester Davee Ethridge.  She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Goldthwaite.
