Sports camps continue June 5-8
Several youth sports camps will be going on over the next two weeks, sponsored by Jacksboro coaches. Boys who have completed grades K-8 can take part in Jacksboro Baseball Camp June 5-6 from 9 a.m.-noon at the Twin Lake baseball fields.
JES Field Day closes year with fun
Jacksboro Elementary School began winding down the school year Monday, May 22 with the annual Field Day. Students competed in a Fun Run, which was a 1-mile cross country course.

Bryson hosts athletic banquet
Bryson athletes were honored for their athletic season during the school’s athletic banquet Monday, May 8. Bryson High School Principal and Athletic Director for most of the year Gary Kirby advised the athletes that they were all important, even if they didn’t win an individual award.
Tiger 7-on-7 football qualifies for state tournament
For the first time in school history, Jacksboro’s 7-on-7 football team qualified for the State 7-on-7 Tournament with a strong finish in a Dublin tournament Saturday. Jacksboro opened a three-team pool play with a 42-26 victory over Brady.
All-district baseball team announced
Several Jacksboro Tiger baseball players were selected as All-District 7-3A players as the teams were announced over the weekend. Lando Belcher and Kaleem Howard were named Co-Offensive and Co- Defensive Players of the Year, respectively.

When you’re loaded with bats top to bottom through the lineup, it only takes one to get things going. Kyler Swan, coming out of Jacksboro’s 9 hole, delivered a clutch two out double in the bottom of the sixth inning against Early in game one of their class 3A bi-district series to give the Tigers their first lead of the day.
