Landrie Valenzuela, a Jacksboro High School senior and multi-sport athlete, has signed a national letter of intent to compete in track and field for Angelo State University. Valenzuela, who threw the shot put and discus while at JHS, said the family-like feel of the school and having family close by was key in making the choice.

Injuries and constantly having a target on your back are just some of the reasons why. That’s what makes Jacksboro’s varsity softball’s running of the table in District 7-3A, a loop where the squad finished fourth a year ago, so impressive.

In a 4-0 hole after one inning, Jacksboro’s varsity baseball’s scored in each of the next four frames to take control and put together a 12-5 victory Wednesday, April 10 over Vernon. The game was played at Holliday High because of wet field conditions in Vernon.

Tullous signs with ACU

After a stellar track career at Jacksboro High School, which included a state meet appearance, Kylie Tullous will be furthering her career at Abilene Christian University. During a ceremony Thursday, April 4 at the JHS library, Tullous thanked all her friends, family, and coaches that have worked with her during her time in Jacksboro.
