Bryson and Perrin both competed in the District 21-A track meet Monday, April 1 in Bryson. The top four in each event qualified for area held Monday, April 8 in Graford.

Jacksboro’s track teams competed in the District 7-3A track meets April 1 and 3. Qualifying for the area meet, set for April 11 in Breckenridge, which takes the top four finishers in each event, are as follows: Tigerettes Landrie Valenzuela won the shot put with a 40’ 5 3/4” throw as did Brailyn Tullous in the pole vault with a 9’ leap.

The Jacksboro Tigerettes opened the second round of district play Thursday, March 28 with a convincing 14-3 win over host Iowa Park. The team is now 7-0 in district and 22-3 overall.

Jacksboro’s track teams compe t ed Wednesday, March 20 in the Glen Eickman Relays at City View. The varsity girls were led by first-place finishes from Landrie Valenzuela in the discus (116’4”) and shot put (38’9”) and Kylie Tullous in the triple jump with a 33’6” leap, the pole vault with an 8’6” try and long jump with a 16’9.75” effort.

Some days you have balance. Others have you relying on one big thing to get you through.

A true “walk”-off win. Tied at 6 in the bottom of the 10th, No.7ranked Jacksboro was attempting to take advantage of an off night in the circle by Henrietta pitcher Kirstyn Barnard. Barnard had walked eight batters, a season high, in the first nine innings.
