Tigers stay perfect in 7-3A

Jacksboro fell in an early hole Tuesday, March 18 but used a five-run second inning to take the lead for good in a hard-fought, 9-5 win over visiting Bowie.

Jacksboro is now 10-3 overall and 3-0 in District 7-3A. Tiger Coach Todd Hatton said in a good district like District 7-3A, you need to be ready to play every time out.

Tigerette softball runs past Bowie

Bowie’s softball team stayed close for most of the game but a five-run fourth-inning allowed host Jacksboro to break the game open and helped give the Tigerettes a harder than it looked 16-6, five-inning win on Tuesday, March 18.

Jacksboro is now 4-1 in District 7-3A play.  Tigerette Coach John Bennett said the win was really simple.

 “We hung in there,” Bennett said. “Our offense and executing bunts were key tonight.”
