Several Jacksboro Tiger baseball players were selected as All-District 7-3A players as the teams were announced over the weekend. Lando Belcher and Kaleem Howard were named Co-Offensive and Co- Defensive Players of the Year, respectively.

You couldn’t blame Wyatt Gavit for feeling a little nervous Saturday, May 6. Jacksboro’s freshman pitcher headed into his first high school playoff game with a series win on the line.

On a day where Jacksboro could not get a bunt down in crunch situations, Kasey Ray Swan showed his teammates how to get the job done in the most clutch situation of all. With runners at second and third and one out in the top of the seventh and the Tigers holding a slim 3-2 lead Tuesday, April 25, Swan laid down a nifty sacrifice bunt which was fielded and thrown to first for the out.

Following Jacksboro’s baseball teams regular season finale loss to District 7-3A champion Holliday, the Tigers, who finished 3rd with an 8-4 mark, will open bi-district action this weekend with a familiar opponent to Jacksboro fans.

Epic doesn’t begin to describe it. After beating Early, 7-4, in Game 1, the Tigerettes went into Saturday’s doubleheader confident.
