XC teams compete at home

Jacksboro’s cross country teams hosted a meet at Fort Richardson Saturday.

The varsity girls were 5th as a team, led by Baylee Thompson in 16th spot. Freshman Abby Mangum was 27th followed by Cecilia Avalos in 30th, Gabi Correa in 33rd, Frida Barron in 37th and Marta Vela in 41st.

The JV girls had just four runners, where a minimum of five is required for a team. The squad was led by Kassidy Rymel in 14th followed by Jordan Nichols in 17th, Jaymee Yount in 21st and Brinkley Richardson in 23rd.

The middle school also had just four runners, keeping it out of the team competition. Jessarae Soria led the Tigerettes in 22nd, followed by Johanna Esqueda in 43rd, Savannah Thomspon in 56th ad Sayge Clayton in 68th.
