TRack teams host meet

Both Jacksboro track teams hosted meets March 30

The girls were led by senior Kaylea Maples who won both the long jump (16’ 3/4”) and triple jump (36’1 3/4”) events. Freshman Baylee Thompson finished second in the discus with a 107’6” effort and 5th in the shot put. Leah Plaster was third in the shotput with a 33’3 1/2” throw.

The 800-meter relay foursome of Britney Crye, Jordan Nichols, Haley Laake and Trinity Tisdale finished 8th in 1:57.07 while the 1,600-meter relay group of Crye, Tisdale, Carli Smith and Steffi Piedra was also 8th in their event.

Senior Kade Weldon won the discus event with a 163’6” throw with teammate Riley Rollans second with a 147’1” throw. Cody Gary was 3rd in the shotput with a 44’11/2” effort.

Victor Banuelos was 4th in the 400-meter run with a 54.72 time. David Massengale was 6th in the 800-meters in 2:10.53. Javier Palomar was 4th in the 3,200-meters in 11:43.53 and 6th in the 1,600-meters in 5:08.47.
