Tigers finish 6th in tourney

The Tiger boys finish 6th in their tournament over the weekend. A summary of games follows:

Jacksboro 62, Godley 44

The Tigers used strong starts and finishes to take their 2nd straight win of the season.

Jacksboro outscored Godley 17-7 in the first frame, paced by eight Tyler Rogers points, including a pair of threes. The squads then locked into a defensive struggle scoring 10 points each in both the second and third quarters to lead 37-27 heading into the final eight minutes.

Jacksboro then tossed in 25 fourth quarter points with Godley adding another 27 to its total.Rogers had 16 points to pace the Tigers with Payton Laake contributing nine of his 14 in the second half.
