Tigerettes rout Henrietta
HENRIETTA – Anyone who believed it was cold outside Tuesday evening needed to take a step inside Bearcat Gym.
Jacksboro’s girls' basketballers had a very slow start against the Lady ‘Cats, which they beat 78-13 in the first meeting Dec. 12. The Tigerettes scored just two points and took three shots in the first three minutes, seeming out of sorts.
Much like the forecast for the weekend, however, Jacksboro eventually warmed up and got its offense on track, its solid defense hanging tough during the offensive slowdown, to post a 63-24 win. Jacksboro is now 7-1 in District 8-3A and 22-6 overall while dropping Henrietta to 1-7 and 4-13.
Jacksboro Coach Todd Matlock said consistency all game long has to happen.
