Tigerettes ready to hit the hardwood

With a year of experience under Coach Todd Matlock’s system, a young Jacksboro team looks to make the next step into the postseason.

The Tigerettes were on the outside looking in last year, finishing 6-8 in the district but battling into the last week with a number of freshmen who saw significant if not starters’ minutes. Matlock likes what he sees so far out of his troops.

“Overall, we’re pretty good right now, particularly defensively,” Matlock said during a break in workouts. “We have five returners and some good post players coming in. “We’ll be working from the inside out this year.”
