Tigerettes place six on all-district SB squads

After a school record season in both wins and district wins, Jacksboro’s Tigerettes placed six members on the District 8-3A Softball team announced earlier this week.

Youth was served on the squad as a number of sophomores and juniors were selected. Sophomore Maylan Armstrong was named utility player of the year. Armstrong pitched, played first base and some outfield for the squad.

First team accolades went to Hanah Drennan at pitcher and Trinity Tisdale at second base.

Selected to the second team were catcher Carly Hart, third baseman Leah Plaster and outfielders Destiny Thompson and Alexia Rushin.

Jacksboro went 12-19 overall and 6-8 in District 8-3A.
