Tigerettes open AC Tourney with win

ARCHER CITY – Jacksboro’s girls' basketball squad opened tournament play here with a 62-26 win over Olney Thursday morning.

The Tigerettes (7-3) got out to a 15-6 lead after one with guard Trinity Tisdale tossing in six points. Things got even better for the Purple in the second in the second, outscoring the Cubs 23-4. Tisdale had another strong frame with eight points with fellow sophomore Jordan Nichols contributing six points. 

The Tigerettes outscored Olney 14-6 in the third with each team tossing in 10 points in the fourth. 

Tisdale led the way with 17 points with Nichols adding 14. Jaymee Yount contributed nine points, Baylee Thompson eight, Haley Laake six with Brinkley Richardson and Leah Plaster four each to round out the scoring.

The Tigerettes play two games Friday: facing Haskell at 11:30 a.m. in the Main Gym and Mineral Wells at 4 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gym.
