Tigerettes go on Holliday

Thu, 12/21/2017 - 11:28 am

HOLLIDAY – Before the girls' basketball season began, Trinity Tisdale said she wanted to become a better lockdown defender.

The junior three-year starter has done that but Tuesday night, she also showed she can be an offensive force as well.

After Holliday had cut an 18-point deficit down to 10 early in the third quarter, Tisdale took the Eagles by the wings, converting four buckets and a pair of free throws to help the Tigerettes maintain their lead before getting some more help in the fourth quarter in a 47-27 win in a battle of two unbeaten teams in District 8-3A.

Jacksboro remains perfect in the loop at 3-0 (14-4 overall) while Holliday slips to 2-1 and 8-10. Jacksboro Coach Todd Matlock said Tisdale came through when she needed to.

“She was huge for us in the clutch tonight,” Matlock said. “The situation needed for her to come through and she did.”
