Tigerettes defeat Hirschi

Thu, 11/30/2017 - 1:24 pm

WICHITA FALLS – If Jacksboro could play all teams from the city, they might have an undefeated season.

The Tigerettes went to 2-0 vs. schools here with a 56-42 win over Hirschi Tuesday evening to even their record to 3-3 for the season. Jacksboro had previously beaten WF Rider earlier this month.

Tigerette Coach Todd Matlock said his girls were able to keep things under control vs. a team that wanted to run and gun.

“They’re athletic and wanna make things crazy and we were able to keep things under control and play our game,” Matlock explained. “We got together and ran our offense and did pretty well.”

Jacksboro was able to use post Baylee Thompson inside for easy layins to help take control in the early going. With Thompson having 10 points in each of the first two frames, the Tigerettes were able to convert 16-24 from the field.
