Tigerette VB ends year with two losses
As has been the case for most of the season, Jacksboro’s varsity volleyballers got out to a strong start Friday in their home finale vs. Boyd. The last two games, the state-ranked Lady ‘Jackets showed why they clinched another District 8-3A title with a 25-21, 25-14, 25-13 win.
Early on in the hour-long match, Jacksboro, which lost its third straight match to fall to 5-8 in the district and out of playoff contention, used single points from Carly Hart and Trinity Tisdale to draw within 6-7 in the opener. Boyd would extend its lead to 16-9 but a single Alex Holman tally and another pair from Hart, aided by a Tisdale block, kept the Purple close at 15-19.
Jacksboro would get no closer than three after a Morgyn Green kill and Holman point cut the lead to 21-24. Boyd broke serve to end game one.
