Tiger XC heads to Regionals

Jacksboro’s boys cross country team qualified for the Region I-3A Meet Oct. 23 by virtue of a third-place finish at the District 8-3A Meet Oct. 12 in Boyd.

Javier Palomar led the Tigers with a 7th-place finish, Hoyt Nebgen was 16th with Jose Palomar right behind in 17th. Freshman Drew Bright was 20th, Daylon Valles was 25th with Randall Hamilton right behind in 26th and Zach Sharp in 39th.

Only two JV boys competed in the JV portion of the meet. Fidencio Bustos was 14th and David Massengale 19th. The Varsity boys will run at the Regional meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock at 1:30 p.m. on race day.

The girls finished 6th led by Baylee Thompson in 31st spot. Cecilia Avalos was 36th with Abby Mangum in 37th. Two JV girls competed with Jaymee Yount 28th and Brinkley Richardson in 37th.
