Softball team drops Nocona
The girls had finally had enough.
After starting District 8-3A play 0-4, Jacksboro’s varsity softballers used focus and a 14-hit attack to snap the streak in a 16-0, three inning win over visiting Nocona Tuesday evening .
Jacksboro goes to 1-4 in the loop and 6-13 overall while dropping Nocona to 0-5 and 1-11-1. Tigerette Coach John Bennett said cutting out the extras paid dividends.
“We talked about cutting out some of the silliness both in pregame and in practice and obviously it showed.” Bennett said following the 69-minute affair. “Getting our focus back was crucial to this and I plan on keeping it.”
