Lifters open season

BRIDGEPORT – Jacksboro's power lifters had a strong showing in their initial meet of the year Saturday.

Josh Wells finished 2nd at 165-pounds, lifting 1,100 pounds. K.C. Rater finished 7th at 275, lifting a combined 930 pounds. James Brock and Cody Howard were 8th and 13th, respectively, at 198 pounds with combined lifts of 980 and 835 pounds, respectively.

The team is off this week but hosts a meet Jan. 28.
