JMS boys open district
Jacksboro Middle School’s football teams opened district here Oct. 12.
The seventh grade remained unbeaten at 3-0-1 with a 38-0 win over the ‘Cats to go to 3-0-1 for the year.
We had our best offensive production on the season,” Coach Brian Davenport said. “We had eight different Tigers score, but it could not have happened without the blocking up front by Saul Jimenez, Christian Mott, Andrew Olivarez, Jackson Musick, and Joseph Dunn.”
Baylor Laake’s two-yard run and a 10-yard tote by Ramiro Bustos got the visitors off on the right foot. Ryder Jackson and Laake each had conversion runs for a 16-0 lead after one.
Paul Shackelford added a 20-yard score in the second quarter. Paxton Giardina had a 41-yard third quarter run with Randall Bustos adding the conversion. Julian Chacon tacked on a 30-yard scoring run in the fourth with Kade Dennis adding the conversion to end the scoring.
