BOWIE — Jacksboro Middle School’s 8th-grade boys hoopsters played district games with Bowie and the ‘A’ team attended a tournament with Bowie.

Against the Jackrabbits, the ‘B’ team suffered a 28-14 setback, the Tigers down 18-12 at the half and able to do little offensively in the second 15 minutes.

Trey Laake led the way with eight points with Randall Hamilton, Josh O’Shields, and Caiden Vasquez each scoring two points. Hamilton and Vasquez led the way in rebounding with Laake and O’Shields doing the way defensively.

The ‘A’ team kept things close early but a deep Bowie team was too much and posted a 46-34 win. Landon Davenport tossed in 16 points with Drew Bright adding five. Daylon Valles and Jordan Yount each had four. Taber Dunn added three points and Dylan Thomas two.
