JHS, JMS cross country run at Holliday

HOLLIDAY – Jacksboro’s cross country teams competed at the Holliday Meet Saturday

Neither high school group had enough runners to compete at a team but still had some sold individual showings. On the girls side, Soleil DeSantiago was third in 14:)7 with Montserrat Luna sixth in 15:16 and Isabel Bustos eighth in 16:19 over the two-mile course.

For the boys, the Tigers finished 4-6 with Yahir Salas fourth in 20:05 followed by Zach Sharp in 20:27 and Koda Moore in 23:04.

The JMS girls finished second overall as a team led by a fourth place by Brailyn Tullous in 13:34. Emily Rodgers rounded out the top 10 with a 14:13 time followed right behind by Michelle Barron in 11th with a 14:33 clocking.

Dylan Nichols was 15th in 15:09, Liliana Perez 16th in 15:20 and Madison Collins in 18th with a 15:21. Bella Nail was 23rd in 16:18 and Kailee Lehman was 29th in 18:28.

On the boys side, Eli Jonas was sixth in 12:36 followed by Gavin Kennedy in 14:24 and 23rd for Eric Pizana in 14:37.
