Jboro looks to extend win streak
hile Jacksboro Coach Brian Hodnett never went to school here, he also knows a bit about tradition. Back in his playing days, he embraced tradition by wearing the same uniform number as his dad and brother.
As a 6th-year head coach, Hodnett’s charges have become a major part of the Tiger tradition after Friday’s 58-6 season-opening win in Olney. Hodnett, who shared a uniform number with not only his brother but his dad back in the day.
“We have a lot of family ties here in Jacksboro,” Hodnett said. “You could see the dads who played here beaming with pride knowing their sons were going to be a part of this. It’s really special.”
