Jacksboro runners compete at District 7-3A Meert

HOLLIDAY – Jacksboro High School had a total of four runners compete at the District 7-3A Meet Wednesday afternoon here., each finishing in the top 35 in their division.

On the girls side, Soleil DeSantiago finished 17th with a time 13:55. Montserrat Luna was 27th in 15:02 and Isabel Bustos 33rd in 16:13.

On the boys side, Yahir Salas was 28th with a time of 20:13. Coach Steve Hooten had a number of reasons for being happy with the year as a whole.

“This is an awesome bunch of kids. One, they are really good kids that are enjoyable to be around. Two, they have invested a lot to improve, which makes them fun to coach. We are proud of their efforts throughout the season, and are looking forward to the future,” Hooten stated in an email.
