After a successful 11-2 season, which ended last week in the Class 3A Division II regional semifinals, Jacksboro received accolades of the all-district variety as the All-District 5-3A DII teams were released.

The Tigers didn’t receive any superlatives such as offensive or defensive player of the year but placed a number on both the first team offense and defense.

First Team

On the offensive line were KC Rater and Gabino Ramos. Senior Dalton Harp was a selection at tight end as was Luke Dixon at wingback.

Leading the squad offensively were fullback Hunter Hackley and running backs Caleb Keith and Hunter Jackson. Kicker Fernando Piedra also received a first-team nod.

On the defensive side, Rater and Ramos were selected for their work on the line. Hackley was named at an end spot. Senior Clay Botello and Jackson were named at inside and outside linebacker, respectively.

The Tiger secondary was well represented as Piedra, Payton Laake and Dixon were all named. Senior Tyler Harmonson was a utility player and Ty Kennedy received accolades on the special teams.

Second Team

Linemen Jacob Hull and Cody Howard received offensive nods on the line. Junior Grant Thompson was a selection at tight end as was Laake at quarterback.

Only one second-team defensive selection came from the Tigers with Keith at an outside linebacker.
