Jacksboro girls end up in Iowa Park talons
With the Jacksboro varsity volleyball team looking at a month-long road trip following Tuesday’s home date with Iowa Park, it would have been nice to hit the road with a win under their belts.
The Lady Hawks had other ideas, avenging a three-game loss to the Tigerettes at home last year with a hard-fought 22-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-20 win. The two teams got into a battle from the opening serve.
A four-point Carly Hart skein put Jacksboro up 10-4 in the opener. Iowa Park drew within 9-12 before Tigerette freshman Morgyn Green rolled off three straight, including an ace, to put the lead at six.
