Bryson's Forbus hoping for State success

BRYSON — It’s been said that the third time is the charm. For Caleigh Forbus, it was the 5th.

Forbus was looking for a bid to the State Track and Field Meet but was on the outside looking in heading into her 5th jump, sitting in 3rd spot. Forbus began a little clap which the fans around her picked up and began doing.

Her coach Hunter Hayes says with a bit of luck he thinks she can go 17’ at State. Her event at the State Meet in Austin is set for Friday, May 13 at 10 a.m.

Forbus said it was a big goal of hers to qualify for State throughout the track season. She credits Hayes with pushing her.
