Bryson goes 1-3 for week

PERRIN ­­‑ Bryson’s varsity basketball squad finished 1-2 during the Perrin Basketball Tournament putting its record at 1-5 for the season.

The Cowboys lost their opening game Dec. 1 with Bethesda Christian 49-48. Bryson led 14-10 after one and 27-24 at the half. The ‘Pokes then took a 40-34 advantage into the final frame but it wasn’t enough.

Paul Davidson led the way offensively for Bryson with 17 points while junior teammate Braden Houser tossed in 10. Tristan Stephens had nine, Jon Alaniz added six, Paxton Whitaker four and Jacob Smith two.

The squad rebounded the next day with a big fourth quarter to overtake Midway 47-45.
