Bryson falls to Slidell

BRYSON – Slidell came to town Tuesday night and used a quick start to overcome the Cowboys, which suffered a 69-34 loss to the visitors.

Slidell, fresh off a win in the Perrin Tournament over the weekend took a 17-5 lead after one and extended the lead to 32-12 at the half. The Greyhounds outscored Bryson 16-11 and 21-11 over the final two frames.

Bryson was held to 26 percent shooting and was just 1-12 from three-point land while Slidell hit 46 percent from the floor and outrebounded Bryson 48-30.

Paul Davidson had 10 points and six rebounds for Bryson. Jon Alaniz and Paxton Whitaker each had six points with Brayden Houser tossing in five points and hauling down seven rebounds. Tristan Stephens had three points, Tanner Buchanan two and Dillon Orr a free throw.

The boys, along with the Cowgirls, will take part in the Vernon Tournament this weekend. The tournament began Thursday and continues through Saturday.
