Bryson boys lose district pair

BRYSON – The Cowboys had an off week to open district play, losing home games to Graford and Throckmorton.

Bryson opened district Jan. 13 vs. Graford and suffered an 85-40 setback. The Cowboys held tough for a while, down just 19-16 after one. The Jackrabbits then began to pull away with a 22-6 second quarter for a 41-22 lead at the half.

The visitors nearly equalled their first half output, scoring 36 points while holding Bryson to 15. Bryson tossed in just three fourth quarter points with Graford adding eight.
