Bryson, boys, girls fall to Notre Dame
BRYSON – Both Bryson varsity basketball teams suffered homecourt losses to visiting Wichita Falls Notre Dame Monday at Cowboy Gym. A summary of both games follows:
Notre Dame girls 31, Bryson 29
Bryson had a chance to knot the game in regulation but a Lady Knight steal snuffed out comeback chances.
Both teams had problems finding the bucket in the first half, Notre Dame (8-5) shooting just 13 percent in the first half. Bryson (4-6), which shot a mere 15 percent from the field, did an effective job of holding the visitors to one shot, Tied at two for most of the opening quarter, Notre Dame picked up a couple of late baskets to take a 6-2 lead after one.
Maddee Moore’s bucket would tie the game at six early in the second but Notre Dame outscored the hosts 7-1 the rest of the frame to take a 13-7 lead at the half.
