Boys XC ends year at regionals

Jacksboro’s cross country team saw their season end with a run at the Region I-3A Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock Monday afternoon.

Jacksboro finished 14th as a team. The top four teams and top 10 individuals automatically qualify for State in Round Rock Nov. 4.

Junior Hoyt Nebgen led the Tigers with a 79th place finish with a time of 19:03. Javier Palomar was 95th with a 19:36 run over the three-mile course. Daylon Valles was 103rd with a time of 19:48.

Freshmen Drew Bright and Randall Hamilton finished 114th and 125th with times of 20:05 and 20:19, respectively.

Jose Palomar was 147th in 21:07 with Zach Sharp 151st in 21:19.
