Boys take 3-0 loss to Paradise
First place is a lofty goal as staying on top takes a lot of work.
Jacksboro’s varsity baseball squad knows the feeling, having knocked off top dog Holliday last week to get itself a share of first place with Boyd. Paradise came to town March 31 having had a pretty good run of late.
Pitchers Bryson Myers and Ty Kennedy locked horns for more than two hours. Kennedy allowed just four Panther hits but Myers also had a good day with the bat, batting in three runs with two hits in a 3-0 victory over the host Tigers.
Jacksboro is now 4-2 in District 8-3A and 9-8-2 overall. The Tigers outhit Paradise 7-5 but couldn’t get the hits strung together off Myers, who struck out 11 and walked three in the complete game win.
