ARCHER CITY – Jacksboro’s boys' basketball team went 3-2 in a tournament here Dec. 8-10, good enough for a third-place finish among the eight teams.

The squad is now 7-6 heading into a Tuesday night matchup in Millsap (see story, same section). A breakdown of all five games follows:

Archer City 61, Jacksboro 44

Coach Eric Symank said his Tigers “did not play very well” in their tournament opener Dec. 8  against the hosts. The Wildcats jumped out to a 19-11 lead after one and extended it to 34-24 at the half. Archer City outscored the visitors 9-7 in the third and 18-13 in the fourth to send the squad to its pool play loss.
