Thanks from Johnny Callan's familly

Thu, 12/15/2016 - 4:45 pm

To all of the Friends, Family, and Community surrounding Johnny Callan:

As many of you know, the last couple of weeks have been pretty difficult on our family.  First losing Johnny on November 26, then losing his father, Joe Callan, on December 5.  It is a parent’s worst nightmare to receive a phone call that something has happened to your child or their father, but our family will continue on and their memory will be in our hearts forever.

I wanted to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for keeping my family in your thoughts and prayers, and wrapping  us in the love of this community.  We appreciate Jacksboro ISD for allowing us to use the school facilities for the candlelight vigil and funeral service.  We are so grateful for Brother Frank Hefner, Eugene Weldon, and Jerry Fulton for being there for our family, and for officiating Johnny’s funeral.  The Jack County first responders were amazing as they helped and were present for my family.  We are thankful for the churches in our community who came together and put together a wonderful lunch for my family after the services, and opened their doors to us.  Coker Funeral Home did a wonderful job of helping take care of Johnny, as well as our family during this difficult time.  The FFA’s presence, kind words, and sharing of memories will be held so close to my heart.  It was pretty incredible to look around the gymnasium at the funeral and have an entire side represented in blue corduroy, not just from around the state, but from around the country.  We are so thankful for the food, cards, letters, calls, and hugs.  It makes me boast with pride to be a part of our community, and for that I am thankful.  I know that I am leaving something out, but please note that my family is so thankful for all that has been done for us in the last couple of weeks.

Thank you for your love and friendship.  Please remember my family during the holiday season, and help Johnny’s legacy live on by reaching out to others who may be in need.  #LiveLikeJohnny

With love,

Kerri LeDoux, Alexis Callan & Family

To Our Community, Friends, and Family,

Thank you for your prayers, support, love, and comfort over the last few weeks.  The outpouring of love through cards, calls, food, and visits were all greatly appreciated.  The heartfelt words and prayers were definitely felt.  We know that we have left out things of kindness done for our family, but please know that it did not go unnoticed.

As you can imagine this experience has been so surreal.  It was not in our timing, but in God’s plan, which His ways are so much bigger.  We are thankful for all of you, and appreciate everyone coming together in our time of need.  You definitely blessed us, and for that we are grateful.

May you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!

Love,

Jimmie and Lelia Cozart
