Charles Elmer Pierce

Charles Elmer Pierce, 73, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 in Jacksboro. 

Charles was born in Jack County June 21, 1943 to Elmer and Zettie Bell Tripp Pierce. 

He was a graduate of Bryson School and was the owner of Pierce Plumbing serving all of Jack County for decades.

Charles, a beloved father, brother and papaw, loved to hunt, fish and play guitar and sing. He had a deep love for his family and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, brother Don Pierce and sister Margaret Nantz.

Eula Fay Watson

Eula Fay Watson of Jacksboro, Texas was born on May 19, 1918 to Oscar A. and Minnie Symintha (Jackson) Whitsitt at Squaw Mountain, Texas. She married Melvin E. Watson on May 19, 1936 in Joy. They celebrated 62 years of marriage before his death in 1998. Eula Fay passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 in Ft. Worth at 98 years and 49 days. Her main goal in life was to stay active.

Anita “Pauline” Long

Anita “Pauline” Long passed away June 28, 2016 in Decatur after a short illness. She was 90 years old.

Pauline was born February 10, 1926 in Archer City, Texas to Paul and Annie Wright. 

Pauline enjoyed gardening, painting and tending to her rose bushes. She also loved to dance and would spend many hours cutting a rug at the Senior Citizens Club in Springtown.

Linda Earlene Hesteande

Linda Earlene Hesteande, of Jacksboro, Texas passed away on Saturday June 25, 2016 in Jacksboro. She was 76 years old. 

She was born on October 3, 1939 in Jacksboro to Albert Earl and Myrtle Alta (Denson) Cowger.

Linda married Edward Ray Hesteande on October 4, 1958 in Jacksboro and was a 1958 JHS graduate. She was a store clerk for years at various places and a homemaker as well. Linda was a loving, caring, and kind Christian wife, mother, sister and friend.

Paul Andrew Williamson

Paul Andrew Williamson, of Jacksboro, Texas passed away at his home on Tuesday June 28, 2016. He was 55 years old. 

He was born August 30, 1960 to William Allen “Dub” and Betty Jean (White) Williamson in Jacksboro.

Paul attended Jacksboro High School. He was a land surveyor for Crowley Pipeline & Land Surveying. He had a deep love for his family and all people. He was known for feeding anyone and everyone.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Mark Wayne Williamson.

Darlene Ogle Cox

Darlene Ogle Cox passed away at her home in Dublin, Texas. She was 79 years old. 

She was born on February 2, 1937 to Cecil and Lois (Pierce) Ogle in Jacksboro, Texas.

Darlene was a homemaker and a Christian. She was the kind of person that could do anything. She did woodwork, sewed, quilted, and so much more. Darlene did everything with excellence and taught her children to do so as well.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother Gene Ogle and her daughter Carol Holder.

Myrtle Fae Tilghman

Myrtle Fae Tilghman passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016 in Jacksboro.

She was born in Jacksboro, Texas March 28, 1942 to Charlie Otto and Ann Ella McQueery Tilghman. 

She worked in many restaurants in Jacksboro and Mineral Wells. Myrtle received her LVN license in 1982 and practiced at Palo Pinto General Hospital, Faith Community Hospital and for hospice. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Charles Tilghman, Walter Tilghman and Steve Tilghman and wife Dollie, brother in Law David Stansell, son in Law Jackie Ricks.
