Kathlyn Jo Mealio Brumfield

Kathlyn Jo Mealio Brumfield was born Jan. 23, 1966 in Homestead, Fla., to William Frederick Mealio and Norma Kay Heath Mealio. She married Jeff Wayne Brumfield August 12, 1989 and they remained happily married for 31 wonderful years together. Jo is a mother to two children, Hannah Jo Ashley and Jonathan David Brumfield and “Mamaw” to grandson Aiden Layne Ashley. 

Mary Beth Roper

Mary Beth Roper left this life to be with her Savior on Feb. 1, 2020. Services were held at 1 PM Tuesday, Feb. 4, at the First United Methodist Church in Bryson. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery. The family received friends from 5-7 PM Monday at McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home.

Ronald ‘Gary’ Beckham

Ronald ‘Gary’ Beckham was born on Sept. 29, 1949 in Graham. He was the son of Don Beckham and Mae (Bullock) Beckham. Gary passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, in McKinney at the age of 70.

He proudly served his country as a Marine in the Vietnam War. He married the love of his life, Karen Lovett, on Nov. 23, 1972 in Mineral Wells. Gary was a diesel mechanic, working for Halliburton and then retiring from TxDOT in 2011.

Christine Yarbrough

Christine Yarbrough, 93, passed away Thursday, Jan. 16. Yarbrough was residing in Fort Worth before her death. She was born in Jack County to the late Paul H. Franklin and Lorena B. Harrison.

Yarbrough married Virgil Yarbrough February 1948 in Fort Worth. Christine loved to travel,Texas Rangers Baseball, George Strait and Cousins BBQ. She was an elegant, smart and funny lady who had many Dear friends. We will all miss her so much.

Yarbrough was preceded in death by her husband Virgil, Son Jay Allen Yarbrough and daughter Kay Ann Weatherford Woods.

Thomas R. McNallen

Thomas R. McNallen, 80, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, in San Antonio. Thomas was residing in Post Oak before his death. McNallen was born in Big Spring to the late George Berl McNallen and Sally Lou Brown.

Thomas worked with Merchants Fast Motor Lines until he retired and was also a rancher. He was cremated upon death.

McNallen was preceded in death by his grandson Mage McNallen, Daughter-in-law Candy McNallen, Parents Berl and Sally McNallen, Brothers James and David McNallen and sister Sally McNallen.

Jerry Don Sharp

Jerry Don Sharp, 66, passed away at his home in Jacksboro on Saturday, Nov. 22. He was born on April 27, 1953 in Mineral Wells to Jerry and Frances Sharp. 

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019 at Bible Baptist Church in Jacksboro. 

Jerry married Karen Fowler in Jacksboro. He was a former member of the Jack County Sheriff Posse, a retired truck driver and also proudly served our country in the United States Marines towards the end of the Vietnam War. 

Charlene Sears

Charlene Sears, 93, passed away Nov. 27 at her home in Fair Oaks Ranch. She was born Nov. 18, 1926 in Graford, the daughter of Charles Edward and Louella Smith Hardy. 

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jacksboro and loved sewing, making quilts, reading, and watching Wheel of Fortune. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5 in the Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Chapel. Burial will follow in Graford Cemetery. 

Olan Guice

Olan Guice, 84, went to be with our Lord on Monday, Nov. 11. He was born in Markley on March 20, 1935 to John Olan Guice and Dove (Brown) Guice.
Olan married LaRue Matlock on Nov. 29, 1969, in Jermyn. He was a member of the Jermyn Baptist Church and served in the United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Frances Butler, and brother, Kenneth Guice.

Vernie Ogle Middlebrooks

Vernie Ogle Middlebrooks, 94, passed away on Friday, Nov. 1, 2019 in Gainesville. She was born on Feb. 9, 1925, in Jacksboro to Willie Ogle and Stella (Dowdy) Ogle. 

Vernie was a graduate of Jacksboro High School and a lifelong member of The First Baptist Church in Jacksboro. On Dec 7, 1944, she married Robert Lee Middlebrooks in Jacksboro. Together they raised two children, Jean and Robert L. (Bobby).
