Dalphine Geer Lane

Dalphine Geer Lane, 89, entered heaven March 7, 2020 surrounded by her family.

Services will be Saturday, March 14. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. with services following at 11 a.m. at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro. Burial will follow at Wood Cemetery in Barton Chapel.

Dalphine LaDell Geer Lane was born Feb. 10, 1931, in Jacksboro to Willie and Vida (Simpson) Geer. She married Jerral Kenneth (J.K.) Lane in Jacksboro on June 14, 1949, they celebrated 68 years of marriage.

Dalphine was a wife, mother, and homemaker. She kept and loved many children in her home throughout the years. Dalphine was a member of First Baptist Church of Alvarado, a Rainbow girl, Lady Lion and Telephone pioneer where they stated an Easter egg hunt for blind children. She volunteered at John Peter Smith Hospital for 14 years and helped in opening the gift shop. Dalphine and J.K. were instrumental in starting delivery for meals on wheels in Whitney and surrounding area. She also enjoyed volunteering at Loaves and Fishes Food Bank in Granbury.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jerral Lane; mother, Vida Geer; father, Willie Geer; brothers, Willie and Jesse Geer, and sister, Ruby Shields.

She is survived today by her children, Jerry and Linda Lane of Granbury, Judy and Joseph Bunch of Grandview, and Belinda and Joe Paul Boyd of Alvarado; grandchildren, Jerral Lane, David Norris, Kyle and Alexis Lane, Sara Norris, Joshua and Olivia Lane, and Christina and Dustin McGrath, and Carla Hamilton ; great grandchildren, Taylor Norris, Jace and Jett Lane, Landry and William Lane, and Grace McGrath; sister, Mary Givler of Granbury, and numerous nieces and nephews.
