Kennedy signs with Cedar Valley
After a successful past two years for the Jacksboro baseball program, another Tiger will be taking ther talents to the collegiate level.
Ty Kennedy, a pitcher for the Purple, signed a national letter of intent to play baseball for Cedar Valley College in Lancaster during a Tuesday ceremony.
It is part of the Dallas County Community College District, which consists of seven teams from throughout the county. Kennedy said the Suns promised him a chance to pitch as a freshman and perhaps be able to take his talents to another level.
He was joined by his family during the signing including parents Missy and Ty, brother Gavin and sister Kaitlyn. along with former teammates and friends.
It may be a rebuilding year in 2019 for the squad as the Suns went 22-26 last year.
