Graham summer league ends Tuesday

GRAHAM – After a slow start in Tuesday’s summer league volleyball opener vs. Mineral Wells, Jacksboro turned things around, using a number of long skeins of serving points to come from behind and post a 44-26 win over the Lady Rams.

In the 10-team summer league, which ends June 26, teams play one game with a time limit of 25 minutes instead of the normal 25 point game.

Jacksboro fell behind 4-1 in the early going before junior Brooklyn Green rolled off seven in a row to take a 9-4 lead, taking advantage of Mineral Wells miscues to take control. The Lady Rams continued to hold their own, however, going up 11-10 on a six-point string.

The squads remained deadlocked at 15 until Green came through with another run, this one for five points, aided by a Leah Plaster kill to go up 20-15.
