JHS girls BB lose in summer action

Wed, 06/13/2018 - 6:10 pm

PARADISE – With so many things going on during the summer, including vacation, work, and other activities, it’s a wonder anything manages to get fully accomplished.

Somehow things do get done, however, albeit with some modifications. Jacksboro’s varsity girls had just four girls take the court in its basketball summer league opener Monday here vs. Bridgeport. The Sissies on the other hand, had a full group ready.

The Tigerettes held tough in the first 20-minutes, being down just 10 at the half before running out of gas in the final 20 minutes of a 49-28 contest.

Bridgeport jumped out quickly on the Tigerettes, who had their first points via Trinity Tisdale free throws. Bridgeport used a size advantage to power down low for buckets or offensive rebounds in the early going and Jacksboro could never fully recover.
