Perrin qualifies several for area

ALVORD – Perrin’s track teams completed district action April 11 here, qualifying several for area. The top four in each event qualify for regional

The boys' team finished fourth and was paced by a win from Brigham Richardson in the 200-meter run. Other area qualifiers include Chance Tessman in the 800-meter run and high jump, Tessman, Richardson, Nathan Mock and Raul Martinez in both the 1,600-meter relay and 400-meter relay. Levi Butler in the 110-meter hurdles and the 800-meter relay team of Gabriel Moore, Levi Butler, Ty Vanbuskirk and Robert Aldridge. Butler was fifth in the 300-meter hurdles with Martinez sixth in the triple jump.

On the girls' side, Kelli Tucker won the 200-meter run, finished third in the 100-meters and long jump and fourth in the 400-meter run to qualify for area in all events. Kaylie Anderson was 5th in the 800-meters, Ashton Simms was fifth in the 100 and 300-meter hurdles while the 800-meter relay team of Jasmine Brown, Jamie Anderson, Jasper Cansler and Molly Heagy was sixth and the 400-meter relay foursome of Brown, Anderson, Cansler and Brianna Bryant fifth.

The team finished sixth overall.
