Jacksboro hosts 8-3A track meet

Jacksboro track teams finished 8th at the District 8-3A Meet which finished with the running finals Thursday evening.

On the boys' side, David Massengale won the 800-meter run with a 2:05.02 time. Also qualifying for area, as the top four finishers in an event do, were Hunter Hackley in the 100-meters (1.53), Javier Palomar in the 1,600-meters (4:51.48) and the 1600-meter relay foursome of Hackley, Massengale, Randall Hamilton and Ke’Ondrae Sadler. Sadler was fifth in the 200-meters in 24.47 as was the 800-meter relay foursome of Hackley, Sadler, Victor Banuelos and Gio Salazar in 1:35.37.

On the girls' side, the 400-meter relay foursome of Harlie Holder, Hadlee Richardson, Baylee Thompson and Lexi Little were sixth in 56.08. Thompson, Little, Carli Smith and Ariana Perez were sixth in the 1600-meter relay in 4:41.06. Coming through in fifth were the 800-meter relay of Holder, Smith, Thompson, and Little in 1:58.41.

The area meet is set for April 19 in Jacksboro.
