Jacksboro, Perrin host tournaments

Jacksboro will be hosting its annual Shootout Tournament Nov. 30-Dec. 2.

The boys and girls tournaments will be round robin with everyone playing each other. All Jacksboro games will be played in the main JHS Gym.

Thursday, Nov. 30

The boys open the tournament with Windthorst at 9 a.m. with the girls facing Fort Worth South Hills in their tournament opener at 10:30 a.m. The boys return to action at 4:30 p.m. vs. Seymour while the girls follow with Archer City at 6 p.m.

Other games that day include Boyd-Godley (boys) at noon, Decatur-Archer City (girls) at 1:30 p.m., South Hills-Graham (girls) at 3 p.m. and Boyd-Muenster (boys) at 7:30 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 1

Jacksboro’s girls will face Graham at 10:30 a.m. The boys are not scheduled to play that day.

Other games set for Friday are Archer City-South Hills (girls) at 10:30 a.m. in the back gym, Seymour-Windthorst (boys) at noon, Decatur-Graham (girls) at 1:30 p.m., Godley-Muenster (boys) at 3 p.m. Decatur-South Hills (girls) at 4:30 p.m. in the back gym. A boys bracket play game will be played at 6 p.m. in the main gym.

Saturday, Dec. 2

Jacksboro’s girls will close out the tournament with a noon game vs. Decatur. Archer City-Graham girls will play at 9 a.m. with boys bracket games set for 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Perrin will also have its tournament Nov. 30-Dec. 2. Both Perrin and Bryson will be on both sides of the bracket.

Perrin’s girls will open the eight-team bracket with Midway in a 2 p.m. game Thursday and play wither WF Notre Dame or Newcastle in the second round. The Pirates will face Midway as well in the first round with tipoff set for 6:30 p.m.

The Bryson girls will face Forestburg in an 11 a.m. game Thursday and will face either Chico or Slidell in the second round. The Cowboys will also take on Forestburg in a 12:30 p.m. game Thursday and will also face either Chico or Slidell next.
